Dl103 boron ou alu

Bonjour,

Je vais faire l’expérience de faire retipper une DL103 en Allemagne. Il y a différentes options :

Canteliver en alu, ou en boron

Diamants :

OGURA PA Vital Fine-Line
Shibata
Micro Ridge

Le canteliver en alu est « tappered » et n’accepte que le diamant Ogura. C’est l’option la moins chère (280€)

Un avis mis à part utiliser le corps de la DL comme Magnet…?

Martin Gottman en Allemagne m'a retipé une SUPEX900 Super avec un cantilever en aluminium/taille Shibata et le résultat est Nickel!
Rapport Q/P excellent
Mon autre SUPEX900 a été retipée avant par Roberto Torlai avec Cantilver Boron:
du coup elle a été renommée "SuperTorlai" avec sa signature gravée sur l'avant de la cellule;

At first, please sorry about my bad Englisch.

It´s better you send me the Cartridge, because we must controle it to
give you an correct answer about if its possible to repair it.
The price for the retipping with an Shibata Stylus will be 210 Euro additional Tax and Shipping.
The price for the retipping with an elliptical Stylus will be 70 Euro
additional tax  and shipping.

If you opt for the version with Shibata,

the difference can be heard clearly in the height dynamics.

There will probably be no difference in sound between boron / beryllium and aluminum Cantilevers since the system of needle and carrier as a whole must be understood. The best way to measure differences in the frequency response is to use resonances. But in our opinion the differences, if the overall construction is properly made, are small. The Boron Cantilvers  look a little highendiger and kink less easily. But we do not have the possibility to work up a boron or beryllium carrier. Only aluminum.
