The XLR inputs are present at the amplifier module because we also offer our subwoofers as separate items (the subwoofer section of the PICCO is available under the name SUB231).
This enables users of multi channel (home theatre) setups to feed the LFE signals (e.g. of the separate subwoofer channel of a 5.1 or 7.1 soundtrack) directly from the processor's LFE output into the subwoofers via line cable. However, for audiophile stereo applications we certainly recommend the speaker level input of the subwoofers.
Of course you may still try to connect the bass units via their XLR inputs, but experience shows that most pre and power amp combinations (or the respective sections of an integrated amp) have a "synergistic" sound result, meaning that the slightly different characters of pre and power amp finally sum up to the desired sound result.
If you now "tear" this teamwork apart, you may have different sonic footprints on mid/high (=horns) and bass sections. And as the transition frequency from bass to midrange is at approx. 290 Hz (the keynote frequency region of many voices and instruments!) the overall sound may loose some homogeneity in the mids. Thus it makes good sense to use an absolutely identical signal for mid/high and bass sections = use speaker (hp) level inputs.

Branchement des AVG
Je sors de l'ampli en câbles modulation HP directement sur une entrée de l'enceinte, derrière le pavillon aigu
De cette entrée il y a une liaison par straps vers le pavillon médium
et
Une autre vers le caisson de basses.
