Equipment Which Profits
Audio Analog - cleans up the electronics’ act, with a little too much warmth on occasion. Pair with somewhat dryer speakers for optimum effect.
Audio Note - you want magic? Try AN with our filters, then change your name to Merlin.
Audio Research - it’s like they were built for each other, resulting in audio magic. You really have to hear it to believe it.
Boothroyd-Stuart Meridian - add more life and pizzazz to already excellent
products. Meridian gear tends to be a little too serene for its own good, and this is a way to overcome that. Hear it gain speed and ambience.
Border Patrol - hear it turn into an explosive performer, keeping all its tube qualities and gaining solid state speed and slam.
Bryston - Canada’s finest can and does use the extra octanes for the best overall benefit. More air, more detail with exquisite Bryston definition and control.
Classé - typically gain air and an uncanny ease, as if you could throw anything at them and they’d just laugh and do it superbly.
Conrad-Johnson - squeezes out that last n-th degree of performance. Main benefit in space and air, performers gain an almost physical presence.
Copland - we sometimes wonder why they don’t build the Bricks inside straight away. It’s that good.
Denon - Denon’s AV receivers and amps in particular gain much ambience and air, while the bass improves to subjectively deeper and better controlled.
Harman/Kardon - their legendary drive capability is fully maintained and slightly improved, while bringing much benefit to sound stage width, depth and height, and introducing more space around the performers.
Karan Acoustics - gain definition and bass control, turn it into a high ranked member of the high end. It will make you wonder whether you are listening to solid state or some way out tubes with plenty of power in the general Audio Research mold.
Krell - experience almost exploded sound stage width, depth and height, get it back into true focus low to high, without sacrificing Krell’s bass to die for.
Marantz - most products, including amps, CD players and tuners, gain definition and bass weight. More clarity, more air.
NAD - sound becomes faster, better defined, bass turns into some very serious bass not available elsewhere easily, including the silver series.
Naim - bass like you wouldn’t believe from Naim, clean and clear as a whistle, completely controlled and coherent, with no sacrifice anywhere else.
Philips - TV sets show significant improvements in picture and sound, from low to high ends of the range. No colour spillover, no smearing, no pincushion distortion, just very believable colors and pictures. May require retuning the first time out.
Primare - still cleaner, but also meaner sound, gains weight and speed, plus more air.
Sony - Sony’s AV receivers, often subjectively a little slow, become fleet of foot, gain crispness and definition, elevating them to higher classes.
T&A - German audio with style gains more style and loses some of its sometimes expressed high range dryness. Improved subjective bass and speed.
TacT - outstanding results with this premium digital amplifier. Almost a transformation, and for the better.
Toshiba - watch the little grain there is disappear from Toshiba’s awesome plasma screens, see the picture turn so well defined and crisp as you never knew was possible.
Yamaha - Yamaha’s outstanding digital DSP systems turn to stunning, sometimes thin bass and edgy sound both improve, with added air and ambience.
YBA - French audio at its best CAN be made better yet. Try it and hear.
Not Recommended
Jadis - sound deteriorates, closes in, a definite filter no-buy.
Thule - not much to be gained, hardly justifies the cost of the filter.
